MEET THE CONSULTANTS
Dave Grove (Game & Saltwater fly consultant) Dave is the captain of the Kingfishers team and has been a consultant of ours for several years now. His credentials include :- Twice European Champion in consecutive years. English Loch style champion & twice English rivers champion. Commonwealth Champion in Canada ’94 and ’03 Bronze Medal Winner in world fly fishing champion Norway ’95 Television South West & Nat west Champion Benson & Hedges Gold Medalist Bob Church open winner Dave is also an overseas fishing guide, and is a regular England team member competing at all levels up to and including international level.
Dave Billett (Carp & Sea, Distance Casting Specialist) Dave has been a customer of ours since day one. A committed carp and sea angler, with vast experience and knowledge. Dave has his own bait company and is our distance casting consultant. By anybody's standards his U.K. and European capture record is one to be proud of.
Clive Franklin (Carp Angling Specialist) Clive is another one of our keen carp anglers, he also posses a mass of knowledge for fishing both Devon and Cornwall waters, also some Surrey waters too! Clive has also had some exceptional catches in France. He has also won the "Fish With Star's" 2003 at Horseshoe Lake, fishing with Stev Watson, setting a new match record of 398lb in 48 hours. Clive also fished in the World Carp Classic in 2005 and was sponsored by Greys and is lookfoeward to fishing in the 2006 World Carp Classic.
Carbotec Teams Carbotec Kingfishers Fly Team The Kingfishers was formed from a group of international fly fishermen who, between them, have achieved just about every honour in the game. Individually they have won the National, European and Commonwealth championships. They also hold several golds in the world and home international series and the prestigious Benson & Hedges championship. In recent years they have focused less on competitions and more on the challenge and fun of stalking wild, specimen fish. Fly fishing around the globe on river, lake and sea, they use nothing but Carbotec rods.
Carbotec Teams Team Jinx Exeter Angling Jinx EAC was formed in 1988 by a group of lads who collectively worked in a local factory and initially concentrated their efforts on local venues on a once a month competitive basis. As the club grew, more anglers were invited to join and today can boast a healthy membership of twenty keen anglers who fish primarily in the Jinx League, 12 matches a year on a variety of fisheries both "commercial" and natural throughout the Southwest. Since the sponsorship deal was set up with Exeter Angling Centre, Jinx can boast at least one of their members being spotlighted in the local press on a weekly basis and we hope we are doing our sponsors proud. We feel proud to be associated with EAC and will endeavour to maintain the level of achievement throughout the coming year.
Carbotec Teams Carbotec Select Match Team Carbotec select are a very experienced group of anglers. They have had many successful match circuit wins including individual winner of a National Championship, Fishomania individual winner, ACA Masters, Whiteacres festival and John Smiths winners. As well as seeing our team on the bank you will often see them writing magazine articles.
